SOC 210 - Introduction to Social Work This course provides students with an overview and analysis of the social work profession including social work concepts, practice, and the various roles a social worker plays in the field. A comparison of practice in a variety of social work settings with target populations is provided. The course objectives correspond to the Educational Policy and Accreditation Standards (EPAS) of competency established by the Council on Social Work Education. Prerequisite(s): SOC 101 or PSY 180 or permission of instructor. 3 credits = 3 lecture
