PSY 180 - Introduction to Psychology


This course is an introduction to the scientific study and explanation of human behavior. It covers a spectrum of behavioral functions and examines the biological, cognitive, and social processes that underlie these behaviors. The focus of the course is on understanding the major theories of human behavior, research findings, and practical applications.
Prerequisite(s): None. Although no prerequisite exists, PSY 180 students are strongly encouraged to wait until their second semester or until they have completed 12 semester hours.
