ETM 130 - Programmable Logic Controllers Formerly: IA 102
This course introduces students to programmable logic controllers (PLCs). It focuses on the underlying principles of how PLCs work and provides students with the knowledge and “hands-on” training to install, program, modify, interface, troubleshoot and maintain PLC systems. Programming is done both on-and off-line. No previous knowledge of PLC systems or programming is required. Prerequisite(s): ETE 100 or ETM 110 3 credits plus 3 contact hours = 2 lecture, 4 laboratory
