ETW 211 - Shielded Metal Arc Welding: Pipe

This course concentrates on the S.M.A.W. (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) (stick) process. Students will foucus on 6” pipe in the 2-G and 5-G positions. Open root with E6010 and E7018 fill and cover passes will be used. Upon successful completion of the couse students will take an A.W.S. (American Welding Society) cetification test on 6” diameter pipe.

4 credits plus 2 contact hours = 6 laboratory
