MA 110 - Foundations of Clinical Practice for the Medical Assistant This course focuses on a range of topics, including coverage of infection control, sterilizing/ disinfecting medical equipment, vital signs, examination techniques, ECG’s and pulmonary testing, optic and otic instillations, and orthopedic modalities. The lab component provides an opportunity for the student to develop introductory skills in clinical procedures. Offered fall semester only Prerequisite(s): None Corequisite(s): BIO 160 and HE 102 4 credits = 2 lecture, 2 laboratory
