CIS 120 - Introduction to Networking - Net+ Certification This course gives students a broad overview of the networking industry. The course will cover common concepts of the technologies, topologies, protocols and standards that are used in networking. Students who successfully complete this course will be prepared to take the CompTIA Network+ certification, a credential that is often required/requested by employers. In addition, this course will cover the material necessary to pass the CIW Network Technology Associate examination, which is beneficial to students planning a career in web development or web administration. Knowledge and skills acquired from this course will be needed later in the networking program. Prerequisite(s): None 4 credits = 4 lecture /laboratory
