ART 101 - Foundation Drawing This course will introduce students to studio drawing, emphasizing creative expression and astute observation through the use and exploration of various drawing media. Students will concentrate on the fundamentals (e.g. line, volume, tone, texture, perspective, observation and composition) necessary for the development of visual imagery. The emphasis is on observational drawing as applied to the figure, landscape and still life. This course is typically directed to all art majors and is recommended as a prerequisite to most studio art classes. Prerequisite(s): None 3 credits plus 3 contact hours = 2 lecture, 4 laboratory
