ASSOCIATE IN BUSINESS (Transfer Program)

This program is intended for students wishing to pursue an associate degree while preparing to transfer to a four-year school for the purposes of majoring in a business related program.  Since transfer requirements vary by institution, students are strongly encouraged to meet with a representative from the transfer institution.  Students should also work closely with the SC4 Business and Information Technologies division and advising staff.

 

PROGRAM OUTCOMES/OBJECTIVES:

When students complete this program, they will be able to:

  1. demonstrate the application of the concepts of double-entry bookkeeping
  2. prepare and analyze financial statements including income statements, balance sheets, the statement of cash flow and statements of equity
  3. demonstrate the ability to apply critical thinking and problem-solving techniques within a business and economic environment
  4. demonstrate the effective use of office applications including spreadsheets, word processors and presentation software
  5. demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate.

1st Semester - 16 Credit/16 Contact Hours


2nd Semester - 14 Credit/14 Contact Hours


3rd Semester - 15 Credit/15 Contact Hours


4th Semester - 17 Credit/17 Contact Hours


62 Total Credit/62 Total Contact Hours


* BUS 225  may be substituted for ENG 102  and SPC 101 . Students choosing to take BUS 225  are still required to complete a minimum of 62 credits.

** or MTH 110  or MTH 112  or higher. Students choosing an alternative math course are still required to complete a minimum of 62 credits.
