Skill Set
This skill set is designed for students who wish to seek careers in the generalist and support fields of Criminal Justice. Students seeking this skill set will take classes designed to prepare them for careers in court advocacy, victim services, crime and substance abuse prevention, and non-profit human service work.

PROGRAM OUTCOMES/OBJECTIVES:
When students complete this program, they will be able to:
- describe and explain the functions of the courts in the United States
- describe and explain the impact of family dynamics, substance abuse, poverty, and mental health issues on quality of life issues in society
- identify the causes of crime and social problems in society, as well as the roles of social policies and programs in the prevention of such social issues.
