CIS 110 - Foundations of Information Systems


This course examines the impact of computers on business, society, and the individual. Topics include: the evolution of computers, the information processing cycle; components of an information system; usage of the computer as an information gathering tool; basic hardware and software terminology and concepts; information system design and development; data communications, networking, the Internet; and exploration of computer related careers.
