CIS 282 - Project Management - Project+ Certification This course prepares students to sit for the CompTIA Project+ Certification examination. Students will learn the common project management terminology and the technical knowledge and skills required to initiate and develop a project. Students will create scope statements, management plans, statements of work, schedules, and other relevant documents. Budgeting and managing project relationships are also covered. Emphasis is placed on finalizing and measuring the success of projects. Real-world examples and case studies will be used throughout the course. Students will use Microsoft Project and Microsoft Visio during this course. Offered fall semester only. Prerequisite(s): CIS 115 AND BUS 158 or MTH 1100 or MTH 1101 or higher. 4 credits = 4 lecture /laboratory
