CJ 215 - Basic Criminal Investigation This course presents the basic principles of criminal investigation. The course covers the investigative procedures used in handling of crime scene. The procedures discussed include the interviewing and interrogation of persons, the gathering and preserving of evidence and the writing of investigative reports. Also covered in the course are different methods of investigations including conducting surveillances, undercover operations and working with informants. Basic lab techniques and procedures that are integral parts of an investigation are conducted. Prerequisite(s): CJ 105 3 credits = 3 lecture
