OA 225 - Business Communications Students will study the building of communication skills for productive work in business. The writing process will be used for composing business messages for both print and electronic mediums. Extensive writing and evaluation will emphasize accuracy, coherence, clarity, conciseness, tone, organization and appearance in a variety of messages to meet specific business objectives. Current modes of communication will be studied and evaluated to enhance the learning experience. Students will also study strategies for developing and delivering oral presentations as well as tools for presenting. Oral communication skills and listening techniques will be demonstrated in small and large group discussions, short presentations and an individual business presentation.
