ASSOCIATE IN GENERAL EDUCATION

The flexible Associate in General Education program is designed for students wishing to broaden their education and earn a college degree with emphasis on general studies, career development, and personal growth. The program includes required coursework alongside of numerous elective courses to provide students with a foundation for lifelong learning and better qualify them for a wide range of employment opportunities.

This program is intended for students who wish to complete two years of college and are not planning to transfer to four-year institutions. Individual courses may transfer depending on the intended college and degree selection on a course-by-course basis. Students are strongly encouraged to work with an advisor to select the degree program and courses which best suit their educational and career goals.

• Communication: ENG 100  or ENG 101  and ENG 102  and SPC 101  or THA 105  
• Mathematics: BUS 158 ; or MTH 1000  or MTH 1010  or MTH 1011  or MTH 1020  or MTH 1100  or MTH 1101  or MTH 1120  or MTH 1121  or MTH 1130  or MTH 1140  or higher
• Science: One course in physical or biological science
• Social Science: PS 101  or PS 220  or PS 230  
• Technology: CIS 115  or CIS 260  or GD 140  or ETM 110  
• Electives: College-level courses (100 level or higher) to reach the minimum 60 credits
