ASSOCIATE IN BUSINESS (Transfer Program)
This program is intended for students wishing to pursue an associate degree while preparing to transfer to a four-year school for the purposes of majoring in a business related program. Since transfer requirements vary by institution, students are strongly encouraged to meet with a representative from the transfer institution. Students should also work closely with the SC4 Business and Information Technologies division and advising staff.
PROGRAM OUTCOMES/OBJECTIVES:
When students complete this program, they will be able to:
- demonstrate the application of the concepts of double-entry bookkeeping
- prepare and analyze financial statements including income statements, balance sheets, the statement of cash flow and statements of equity
- demonstrate the ability to apply critical thinking and problem-solving techniques within a business and economic environment
- demonstrate the effective use of office applications including spreadsheets, word processors and presentation software
- demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate.

1st Semester - 16 Credit/16 Contact Hours
2nd Semester - 14 Credit/14 Contact Hours
3rd Semester - 15 Credit/15 Contact Hours
4th Semester - 17 Credit/17 Contact Hours
62 Total Credit/62 Total Contact Hours
* BUS 225 may be substituted for ENG 102 and SPC 101 . Students choosing to take BUS 225 are still required to complete a minimum of 62 credits.
** or MTH 110 or MTH 112 or higher. Students choosing an alternative math course are still required to complete a minimum of 62 credits.
