MA 210 - Advanced Foundations of Clinical Practice for the Medical Assistant This course focuses on a range of topics, including coverage of minor surgery preparation, sterile technique, dressing and bandage application and removal, basic specimen collection and handling, medication administration, and x-ray procedures. The lab component provides an opportunity for the student to develop introductory skills in clinical procedures. To further reinforce the practicums learned in the classroom, a job shadowing experience may be offered. Offered winter semester only Prerequisite(s): MA 110 4 credits , plus 1 contact hour = 2 lecture, 3 laboratory
