Office Administration - Clerical Specialist Certificate

CERTIFICATE

The Clerical Specialist certificate program offers a foundation of basic office courses preparing students for employment as receptionists, file clerks and general office clerks for virtually every kind of industry. This certificate program leads to a two-year associate degree by continuing in a specialization (executive, medical or legal) for a second year. Elective choices may be used for this transition.

Program Outcomes/Objectives:

When students complete this program, they will be able to:

  1. demonstrate professional verbal and nonverbal communication skills expected in the business world.
  2. produce documents at mailable industry standards in the areas of speed, coding, formats, and input technologies.
  3. utilize software and equipment to efficiently produce office documents.

Total Credit Hours/Total Contact Hours = 31/31


* Students placing out of OA 110  can replace it with any OA course. Students must complete a minimum of 31 credits to meet certificate requirements.
 

NOTE: Taking the courses listed above builds toward an associate’s degree in Administrative Executive Assistant.
