ASSOCIATE IN APPLIED ARTS AND SCIENCE DEGREE

The Associate of Applied Arts and Science degree in Allied Health is a degree program that combines occupation-specific courses from an accredited training facility with general education courses and specific support courses offered through St. Clair County Community College.

* Radiologic Technologists must be a graduate of a JRCERT accredited program and hold a national registry certificate.

** Paramedics must be a graduate of an accredited paramedic program and hold a paramedic state license.

Students must complete an additional 35 credits beyond their training program for this degree; a minimum of 18 credits must be completed at SC4.

Program Outcomes/Objectives:

When students complete this program, they will be able to:

  1. integrate college level competencies into their professional practice in allied health.
  2. apply writing and oral communication skills into their professional practice in allied health.
  3. incorporate psychosocial aspects of care in their professional practice in allied health.

Accredited Program Transfer Credit - 30 Semester Hours


**** Awarding of 30 credits from an accredited Radiologic Technology or Paramedic training program.

Range Total Credit Hours/Range Total Contact Hours = 65/67

**** Articulated credit is awarded to students who have completed an accredited training program and successfully completed the national Registry Exam. Students must provide proof of certification to the Registrar.
