GD 280 - Web Design for Graphic Artists

This course serves as both a capstone course for Graphic Design students and an introduction to website design and development. Students will explore webpage design, layout, and implementation from a designer’s perspective. Emphasis is placed on learning HTML, CSS, user experience (UX), user interface (UI), and responsive design. The course culminates in the creation of a personal portfolio website that highlights the student’s work. Winter offering only.
Prerequisite(s): GD 210 and GD 250, plus one of the following GD 230, GD 231 , GD 260 or GD 270
3 credits plus 3 contact hours = 2 lecture, 4 laboratory
