PHS 101 - Foundation of the Physical Sciences This course is designed to provide the student with a solid background in both the principles and the historical development of astronomy, physics, chemistry and meteorology. Experiments correlate closely with lecture and emphasize observation, data collection, and the interpretation and effective communication of information. Prospective teachers and others interested in learning more about their physical world may find this course to be of value. Prerequisite(s): Appropriate placement by college assessment 4 credits , plus 1 contact hour = 3 lecture , 2 laboratory
