PN 130 - Introduction to Nursing Concepts This course is an introduction to nursing concepts related to the care and caring of the individual patient. A holistic approach using the nursing process is emphasized as the foundation of nursing practice. This course focuses on the acquisition of basic nursing skills and fundamental theories. The role of the direct care provider, communicator, teacher, manager and member of the nursing profession are presented. Prerequisite(s): Admission to PN Program 5 credits = 5 lecture
